We wanted to let you know about a few changes we’ve made, which we hope you’ll find reassuring in these times, so here’s a little summary.
Firstly, It is of paramount importance that we ask you to respect yours and others personal space by maintaining a social distance.
We will be asking customers to wait at the designated area outside near the front door for a member of our team to take you to your reserved seats, we ask that you don’t arrive early for your reservation and to sanitise your hands on the way into the bar. The reason for this is so we can take the time to explain how things work and to also keep an eye on the number of people we have in the bar at any one time. We have a maximum capacity to adhere to. This is also the reason why all inside Seats are reserved in two hour slots by prior arrangement only.
From 24 September, it will be compulsory for hospitality staff to wear a face covering in areas that are open to the public and where they come or are likely to come within close contact of a member of the public.
Those of you who have already visited us will be aware this is something we have already had in place prior to the 24th September.
However. Our customers are now also required to wear a face covering/mask upon entering/exiting the building until you are seated at your table, if you need to move away from your seat during your visit please do so wearing a face mask/covering, this includes nipping to the loo or nipping outside.
We appreciate your compliance in this matter.
Unfortunately we may not be able to accommodate walk in custom especially during busier periods.
We reserve the right to place reservation time limits on all tables and cancel reservations if necessary.
Also we kindly ask you to arrive on time for your reservation, we will hold reservations for a maximum of 20 minuets redistributing to others at our discretion.
Deposits are not required for indoor reservation with us at this time but this is subject to change,
We’ll do our utmost to keep a safe distance where possible when taking orders and serving your table. We request your respect and thank you in advance for your patience.
Please feel free to order directly via HOPT available for download from your App Store.
We are more than happy to take physical table orders for those who don’t have access to the HOPT app.
Our outside tables are not available to book, however a controlled queuing system will be in place at busy times.
We also respectfully ask that you don’t move tables around, or add chair(s) to existing tables they have been positioned with thought. Outside tables are on a first come first served basis.
Please note that we do not have the capacity to move outside customers inside if the weather changes.
Please bring a brolly and your big coat!
At busy times, you may be asked to queue and as much as we’ll try our best to get everyone a table, it may not always be possible.
We want to reassure you that care and consideration has gone into spacing the distance between the tables and positioning of the chairs. Please do not re arrange any of the furniture.
To make sure we are fully compliant with the latest Government Guidelines, We require all patrons to sign in via the NHS COVID 19 APP available from your APP store.
Details of how to do this will be clearly displayed at each table, on our website hopsbelgianbar.co.uk & across our social platforms.
If you require assistance a member of our team will do so happily ASAP.
Please note we will ask to see your ‘pass’ generated when you have successfully checked in.
Your patience is appreciated whilst we learn this new system on the spot, like yourselves.
Fingers crossed it will be as simple to navigate as the system we currently have in place!
All our beverages and tasty morsels are now available to peruse and purchase on the HOPT app.
Street food has been temporarily postponed along side our regular food service.
Much as life usually revolves around the bar, please resist the temptation to pop to it, we’ll look after you at the table.
Toilets will be regularly cleaned and numbers visiting them at any one time will be restricted to a maximum capacity of 1 person per toilet. As such, all of our toilets are currently unisex to reduce waiting time.
Please keep corridor clear.
If you are waiting for a toilet to become vacant please return to the queuing floor spots opposite the bar.
Much as they like to, please don’t let children wander.
Dogs must be on a short lead at all times.
The little touches (that are often touched a lot) – will not be quite as prevalent just now. Things like the newspapers, board games, dog biscuits, leaflets, communal spectacles. - we’ve popped them away for the time being, we hope you understand.
We encourage you to bring along your own newspapers, books & board games. Please ensure you take them away with you again when you leave.
